Joining a room (Pexip VMR) using a Skype for Business client
The Pexip Service allows you to join VMRs with high quality audio and video using a Skype for Business client. The procedure for joining depends on the format of the VMR address you have been given:
- Typically, you'll have received a meeting link in the style https://pexip.me/meet/<conference_id>. If you follow this link it will first launch the Pexip web app from where you can then join via your Skype for Business client, as described for pexip.me below.
- Alternatively you may have a <conference_id>@vmr.vc address, in which case you can just call this address directly from your Skype for Business client (also see the manual details option).
Content sharing
Content sharing between Skype for Business and VMRs is supported. Skype for Business participants can:
- Receive content from the Virtual Meeting Room, and
- Share content (using either "Present Desktop" and "Present Program") into the Virtual Meeting Room. Note that the "Present PowerPoint Files" feature is not supported, but PowerPoint presentations can be fully shared using either of the two previously mentioned methods.
